Women Island was discovered by the Spanish during an expedition in 1517. In these times the island was dedicated to Ixchel, the Mayan goddess of the moon, love and fertility, which received offerings with female forms that believers deposited in their beaches. Upon arriving the Spanish conquerors and observing the figures, they christened Isla Mujeres.
Transfer Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres, unforgettable turquoise waters is what lies ahead the 40-minute ride. Open domestic drinks and entertainment on board.
On the tour you can snorkel on the reef Manchones and you can visit the MUSA (Underwater Museum) and watch from the water surface marine ratio sculptures.
